Study Project Coordinator

The Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is a non-profit organization with its headquarters in Kisumu dedicated to improving reproductive health of men and women. NRHS has several research projects related to HIV prevention, treatment and reproductive health. It runs support groups for PLWHA and Key Populations, and is working with the Ministry of Health to scale up male circumcision for HIV prevention. NRHS will be undertaking research to assess the Clinical History of Rectal and Urethral STIs among MSM: Characterizing microbiome host immune interactions for diagnostic and vaccine advances. NRHS seeks highly qualified candidates for the following position in the Mbili Pamoja study.
JOB TITLE : Study Project Coordinator
LOCATION : Kisumu
REPORTING TO : Principal Investigator


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 • Coordinate all the scientific, laboratory, and clinical components of the study
• Ensure adherence to the study protocols and protection of human subjects
 • Oversee community outreach and mobilization activities and ensure recruitment of clients in the study
 • Ensure smooth communication between laboratory and clinical for timely resulting, follow-up, and treatment of study participants
 • Oversee quality of services and research practice
 • Assist with development of SOPs
 • Have in-depth understanding of the protocols and SOPs and ensuring the protocols and SOPs are followed by conducting audits
 • Prepare comprehensive timely project reports
 • Manage the study group biweekly zoom meetings, write minutes and keep records
 • Represent NRHS to the MoH, Taskforces, donors, and others as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a health-related discipline
• At least 2 years relevant experience managing research projects.
• Training on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) with a good understanding of research ethics
• Experience and interest in men’s health and specifically work with key populations.
 • Key population friendly or member of key population
• Knowledge or interest in sexual and reproductive health preferred
• MPH or equivalent preferred
