Our client, a tour operations company in Kenya, is currently seeking for a motivated and organized HR Assistant to join their team.

 THE JOB

As the HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the human resources department by assisting with various HR tasks and responsibilities. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Maintain all staff files.
  • Assist in organizing training programs.
  • Assist in the Recruitment process- create job ads and posting, longlist, shortlist, and schedule interviews.
  • Conduct background checks of new staff as guided by HR.
  • Ensure proper onboarding of new staff- follow up on all required documents before employment.
  • Handle HR department inventory. 
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resource Manager.
  • Update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys) and taking minutes.
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist the HR in all official activities as maybe assigned.
  • Undertake such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time to ensure the attainment of the Company's objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in an HR administrative or assistant role.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON

We are offering a competitive gross salary of KES 40,000 to the right person.
